Fish Receipt, Inc. (“Fish Receipt,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides the Fish Receipt mobile app, website, and related services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use them.
Information we collect
We collect information needed to run Fish Receipt, including account information, receipt images and receipt data, app/device information used for functionality and security, and information you choose to provide when contacting us.
Receipt images may contain membership numbers, purchased items, prices, dates, warehouse information, and other information printed on the receipt.
How we use information
We use information to sign you in, process and organize receipts, identify potential price-adjustment opportunities, deliver notifications you enable, provide support, prevent abuse, and keep the service reliable.
Receipt reading
With your permission, receipt photos are processed by an AI service provider to read purchase details and track eligible price drops. You can decline or turn receipt reading off in the app at any time. Turning it off stops new receipts from being submitted for AI reading; a receipt already submitted may still finish processing.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information, use it for advertising, or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We use service providers to operate Fish Receipt securely, including for hosting, authentication, receipt processing, notifications, diagnostics, and website services. They receive information only as needed to provide those services.
Retention and deletion
We keep account and receipt information for as long as needed to provide the service or until you delete the applicable receipt or your account, subject to limited retention needed for security, legal, backup, or operational purposes.
You can delete individual receipts in the app or permanently delete your Fish Receipt account through Profile → Delete Account.
Your choices
- Turn receipt reading off or back on in the app.
- Manage notification permissions in your device settings.
- Review and manage your receipts.
- Delete individual receipts or your account.
Children's privacy
Fish Receipt is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as Fish Receipt changes. The “Last updated” date above identifies the current version.
